Adhesive plastic bandage
The adhesive plastic bandage allow oxygen flow to the tattoo, but keeps harmful microbes and dirt out of it which makes for a very convenient way to heal a new tattoo.
Just leave the bandage on for 3-5 days, then remove it carefully with clean hands. Done.
Residue ink and blood might pool a bit under the bandage. This is normal even though it can look a bit nasty. This usually dries up within a few days.
If the bandage comes off or if seeping occurs, wash hands, remove bandage and tend to it the classic way mentioned above.
Note: Some people are sensitive to the adhesive. If excess swelling/redness occurs, wash hands, remove bandage immediately and contact me.
Initial healing generally takes 5-10 days. Skin will be fully recovered 3-6 weeks. Healing time may vary depending on a variety of factors such as placement, size etc.
Most problems with healing is directly connected to touching your unhealed tattoo. Unless it’s for aftercare, keep your hands away!
Do not scratch or pick scabs.
Avoid gym, intense exercise, sauna, open water and swimmingpools.
Newly tattooed skis is sensitive. Keep it away from the sun for at least a month. After it’s healed, use sun block to keep your tattoo crisp and vibrant.
